"I work with TUSO"

Sam Mason - Planner & Co-ordinator

I’m a shared supply planner & also the proving team leader for suspected leaks. A standard day entails booking in jobs with customers, raising repair jobs and getting together relevant plans that enable these works to be undertaken correctly. One of the best things about working for Talboys is the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the office.

Alex Walton – Gang Leader

As an experienced team member in the field I am responsible for setting up the site ready for the work ahead. On an average day I complete a risk assessment using various tool such as a CAT and Genny to locate underground services, set out the working environment with health safety barriers, and then proceed with cutting and digging to locate and repair the leak. We then work hard to restore the ground and property to how we found it.

Andy Bolton – Purchasing & Stores Manager

I oversee a variety of responsibilities at our yard from ensuring we all have the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), purchasing the materials, tools, and fittings required by the operatives, as well as making sure the appropriate training program is being followed to continually upskill and develop our teams.

Declan Benjamin - Plumber Prover

I attend appointments that the planning team have arranged for me in order to prove a suspected leak on external pipework. As a trained plumber also if I establish that the customer also has an internal leak such as a leaking toilet or tap, then I will also look to fix this for the customer.

Gary Edwards – Lorry Support Driver

My role is to drive the HGV vehicles that supplies and removes the various aggregates our gangs require on site. I can visit multiple locations in one day with a variety of resources from fresh concrete to tarmac.

Jenny Ong - Planning Team Leader

My role is to lead & manage the customer side leakage planning team. To ensure we deliver a high level of customer service whilst coordinating repair and proving works in the timeliest and cost-effective way. I love that everyone in our team cares about the great job we deliver to our client and customers. I love the daily challengers it brings and that every day is different. I am very proud to work for Talboys and for such a great team & group of people.

Gavin Wood – Labourer (Gangers Mate)

I support my Gang Leader and team in the manual work required to complete our jobs to a high standard. With each day and job, I continue my personal development towards gang leader by learning how to trace underground cables effectively, as well as the requirements around site health and safety.

Harry Talboys – Planner and Co-Ordinator

I plan and co-ordinate repairs for customers when we have been notified by a water utility company that they have established a leak on their land. I work closely with housing associations, councils and landlords to get these leaks resolved as quickly and effectively as possible. I am also responsible for passing information back to water utility companies if we are notified of a meter that needs replacing.

Joanne Williams – Customer Co-ordinator & Commercial Planner

My role is to guide the customer through the customer side leakage (CSL) process, assisting with their queries which range from correspondence received, land registry searches, legal notices, and any enforcement procedures that need to take place. I also run daily reports to ensure we are keeping to our high standards of service by meeting or exceeding our service level agreements.

Liam Burke - CSL Supervisor

I’m predominantly out in the field visiting the locations where our teams are working to ensure our high standards and health and safety are being adhered to. Being within a senior position with years of on the job experience, I am also responsible for working within an advisory capacity helping individuals develop and grow within their roles.

Sean Hurley - Planner & Co-ordinator

I plan out the works for the proving technicians that go and prove if there are any leaks at customers properties. I am also responsible for answering the phones talking to our customers to help assist them with their queries while scheduling in appointments. We have a great friendly working environment and a brilliant team around us.
